"After Duane Michals… Intersections."

8 x 10 inches each (triptych)

My attempt to express my feelings for a girl I feel I know but barely understand.

Self-Portraits.

People, Person, Place, Thing.

I decided on self-portraits for my people, person, place, thing assignment. The topic is sexuality and how I feel about good human interaction. The important thing is that since I’m in San Francisco… and I’m an artist… I stay open minded.

5 Treatments of 5 different subjects (within 1 Subject: My New Apartment) using natural light.

So the story. I stayed in again one day… on a sunny day… to get the atmosphere of the light in my new apartment. These are the shots I took to focus on the light wrapping around various subjects. My favorite is the giant tree we have in the backyard that I shot through the window glares.

Isolation Project for Jim Wood’s “Photography-Concept” class.

Isolation for me recalls days when I’m stuck indoors (like when it’s raining) or feel hungry or notice the details of things rusted or quickly put together. Sometimes it affords me with the opportunity to meditate and to process the air around me.

AAU Class Assignment: Fear.

These three images (a triptych, a style I’m known for) are self portraits that I have taken of myself pinching the skin below my belly. I have a fear of pain. Fear to me is equated to death and part of the family of the classical seven deadly sins.

I think this will be perfect for our date and us sneaking away for awhile. Should I paint or draw on your shoes? :-)
